Overview
Share Chat Links let you distribute access to your chatbot without embedding it on a website. Users click the link and are taken directly to a full-page chat interface.
This is useful for email campaigns, social media, QR codes, or any situation where you want to share the chatbot without website integration.
Link Types
Permanent Link
A stable URL that never expires. Use this for long-term sharing where the link needs to work indefinitely.
Best for:
- Documentation and help pages
- Marketing materials
- Business cards and QR codes
- Email signatures
- Social media profiles
Temporary Link
A time-limited URL that expires after a specified duration. Configure validity in hours.
Best for:
- Limited-time campaigns
- Secure sharing with external parties
- Event-specific access
- Trial or demo access
- One-time support sessions
Generating Links
- Navigate to Studio → Widgets
- Find the Share Chat Link icon button at the top right corner of the widget card
- Choose Permanent or Temporary
- For temporary links, specify the validity period in hours
- Click Generate Link
- Copy the URL and share it
Temporary Link Settings
Validity Period
Specify how long the link should remain active. After this period, the link will no longer work and users will see an expiration message.

Generated links follow this format:
The access token encodes the link type and expiration (for temporary links).
Use Cases
Email Campaigns
Include a chat link in marketing emails. Users click and immediately start chatting without visiting your website first.
QR Codes
Generate a QR code from the permanent link. Place it on business cards, brochures, or event materials for instant access.
Social Media

Security Considerations
- •Permanent links can be shared freely—anyone with the link can access the chatbot

- •Token limits and identity verification still apply to shared links
